I am a freelance photographer and photojournalist with a BFA in photography from Pacific Northwest College of Art, and over ten years’ experience, specializing in photojournalism, portraits, video, and fine art.
I often describe my work as being situated in the intersection of fine art and photojournalism. My passion lies in helping organizations raise awareness and tell stories through photography, and my experience comes from working with people from different industries and backgrounds and understanding meta-narratives. I am truly comfortable with people and enjoy listening to their stories, and I think that in turn makes them comfortable with me and at ease in front of the camera.
My clients are diverse—from the corporate to the nonprofit sector—and include Restoration Hardware, Airbnb, The Imagine Bus Project, and Worldwide Healing Hands, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare for women and children in underserved areas of the world. Other Projects have taken me to Southeast Asia, India, Nepal, and Uganda, for causes such as raising awareness about human trafficking, maternal health, and promoting sustainable rice farming.
